Last night I had the pleasure of 'spreading the wool' at the Truckstop Preachers concert at the US National Whitewater Center (http://www.usnwc.org/). The venue is an unreal playground for outdoor enthusiast including a manmade river with class IV rapids, climbing wall, retail store, 11 miles of single track and a great restaurant. If you are ever in the area or need a vacation, head to Charlotte for an unreal outdoor adventure. 
I ran across the rep( no not literally) at the USNWC, because i heard from some buddies there was free schwag to be had. What a lucky encounter. This guy helped me out three fold. I got a pair of free AWESOME socks, also was able to get a darn pair for my wife. She was so energized from hiking in her pair of socks that she was not too tired to wear me out after. Thanks point 6, you may have just made a thorlo-ian convert.
